#LOCALartIS: Vernon. Churchfield. Morrow.

August Vernon: Painter. Visual Monarch. Five Guys Enthusiast.

August Vernon spends most of his time traveling across the country producing paintings for a wide variety of clients. His work is well-known in the Pittsburgh area, displayed in restaurants like Sonoma, Pirata, and Nola to name a few. His gripping visuals have delighted professional athletes, and even royalty. And despite all the success of his work, and the extremely high demand, Vernon remains grounded in the fact that he would rather head to Five Guys than sit in a fancy restaurant. An artist at heart, but a Pittsburgher in his soul.

Jesse Churchfield: Tattooer. Make Up Artist. Professional Smiler

Jesse Churchfield has been a staple in the Pittsburgh tattoo community with her emergence at Black Cat Tattoos in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville.  Since her departure, Churchfield has taken the reigns of entrepreneurial and opened up her own shop, Lantern Rose, also in Lawrenceville. Her signature throwback style is vibrant and creative, giving customers a one-of-a-kind experience. In addition to Churchfield’s tattoo business, she’s also a very competent MUA ( Make Up Artist), dolling up loads of happy customers across the area.

If you’ve ever met Churchfield, you’ll be immediately greeted by a warm smile and hello. Her laid back personality and sinister tattoo trigger finger make her one to watch for many years to come.

Craig Morrow: Vintage Curator. Business Owner.  Sleeveless Shirt Champion.

Craig Morrow is an interesting character in the Pittsburgh infrastructure. Nestled quietly in the North Shore, Morrow owns the largest bicycle museum in the world (that’s right, the world), Bicycle Heaven. The refurbished warehouse, located on Preble ave, houses over 4,000 vintage bikes, along with an expansive memorabilia collection, and a fully operational train circling the ceiling of the main showroom floor. Morrow is one of the most down-to-earth people you’ll meet, plus you’ll never come across someone who simply doesn’t possess shirts with sleeves.
